Passing TWO and moving to THREE!

Hey TCAOL!

It’s a Monday afternoon and I’m still amped about what we experienced yesterday!  I just finished sending a bunch of emails to our first time guests from yesterday and have already prayed through a long list of prayer requests submitted by names that I did not recognize.  My assistant, Rebecca, told me this morning that she wasn’t sure what to do when she walked in to the auditorium and couldn’t find a place to sit.

Yesterday I shared an amazing statistic with everyone about our first two years of ministry together as The Church at Oak Level.  Seeing 52 people go through the waters of baptism during those first two years has been a rush!  Retaining 95% of those people who made those commitments is amazing.  Thank you church for your willingness to take the gospel to your world!  God is honoring your efforts.

Now, as we move forward and begin year three together I want to keep a few things in front of all of us.  First, remember why we’re here: we want to see the Truth of God rise up, the barriers of religion come down and the people of Christ go out on the mission to which Jesus has called us.  We keep advancing His Cause and His plans and His will…and we’ll see greater things than these!

Second, don’t give up!  Don’t give up on that family member, friend, coworker, neighbor.  Don’t give up when your circumstances are overwhelming.  Don’t give up.  “My dear brothers and sisters, stand firm.  Let nothing move you.  Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord in not in vain.”  – 2 Corinthians 15:58.

If two years together was this much fun, imagine how great year three can be!  I’m ready…are you?!
